My Newest Business Partner

I love organization. My organizing and your organizing I'm sure are different, though. I like to think of myself as "creatively organized," even though my mom never bought it when I was a child stuffing clothes in the corners of my closet and considering it clean.

To organize myself and thoughts I think in lists. Everything is an ever growing list. When I wake up I have a mental list of everything I need to do before I leave. Before I meet with clients I have a list of questions to ask them and go over. I even have a mental list of shots to get during photo shoots. I seriously make lists for lists that need to be made. (I feel as though the next line in this should be, "Hello my name is Sarah and I make lists.") Now granted these lists are always changing or rearranging, I still have them. They make my life a little bit more organized.

I generally type everything in my iPhone. All of my meetings, shoots, due dates, etc. But my iPhone wasn't cutting it. (gasp!) I needed something more tangible to carry with me. So I ran to the store and got the cutest little day planner ever. And I'm so excited! In my very best handwriting i sat down today and put things in my panner. And yes I have a list of everything that I need to put in it. :)

So with my life a bit more "creatively organized," I keep my sanity a little longer now. And for that I'm grateful. With that said I would like to introduce you to the newest partner in my business - my planner.

Let me know your ways of creatively organizing yourself in a home office!

Katie's Bridal Session

While I love Bridal Sessions I completely dislike the fact that I can’t post their photos until after their big day. With her wedding this past Saturday, I can finally post this!

With a raining day in store, they were so gracious to let us shoot inside the beautiful Epping Forest Yacht Club. And don’t think the rain put a damper in this future bride. The minute Katie stepped out from changing into her dress, her mother touched her vial and teared up. She was radiant.

With tissues in her mother’s hand, we began to shoot. The lighting was beautiful in Epping Forest! With all of their big windows, we had plenty of places to shoot. Katie worked the camera and her mother was always making us smile and laugh.

Enjoy the photos! Sneak Peak of her wedding soon to come!

Exciting News Coming Soon!!!

I have some very exciting news to hopefully announce next week!! Don’t worry mom, I am not pregnant and, no, we did not buy another dog. Three dogs are enough for now. :)

But I will give you some clues…

It is about my business.
It is something I’ve been working on for a few months.
It is something that I would have never thought would happen.
It is focusing on my weddings and upcoming weddings.
It is something that every bride is completely familiar with.
It is very exciting!

Any guesses??

And to not leave without a photo, below is my all time favorite photo of a certain little soccer player, who was clearly over his soccer game at this point. Kim, you have the cutest little boy!

Happy First Birthday, Brookelynne!

Brookelynne is one. A whole year of firsts for her… First smiles, first giggles, first steps, first tooth, first everything. She has grown into a beautiful and happy one year old! Smiling and laughing with everything, Brookelynne is her mother through and through. She is certainly one of my favorite babies to photograph. She totally gets the camera. Every time I held it up she would stop, look at me, and give me that big smile of hers! And in a few months, she will have even more to smile about because Brookelynne will be the big sister to a sweet little boy Braxton! (We can’t wait to meet him!!)

Mitch & Jennifer, your daughter is beautiful through and through. I cannot wait to see how she continues to grow and learn from her wonderful parents.
