Yrie & Lisa's Wedding

Such a beautiful wedding. The bride was beautiful, the decorations were adorable, the groom was handsome, and the day was perfect!

This wedding was even more special to me because it was my brother-in-law. I know there is always that joke about in-laws, but really and truly, I love my husband’s family! They are so sweet and welcoming and loving. I wouldn’t change them or our relationships for the world.

And Yrie found himself a wonderful wife who fits right in to our family. And he truly adores her. With every photo we took, he was always watching her, smiling, and just oozing love for her! It was the sweetest thing! And Lisa looked more beautiful than ever that day! They are truly a wonderful fit for each other and will have that everlasting love.

Amy & Ryan

One thing you will learn in the first five minutes of meeting Amy and Ryan is that Ryan loves Amy. Not just loves, more like he simply adores and I think he literally oozes out love for her. It is truly such a sweet thing to see. With just barely one year of marriage under them, Ryan will soon be deploying to serve as a Chaplain Assistant in the Air Force Reserves in July. Being newlyweds, it will not be an easy task to face being a part for each for any length of time. Amy came to me with the idea of taking photos of her and her husband before he is deployed so they can have photos of the two of them while they are apart. So of course I jumped at the idea! And we definitely wanted to make this shoot extra special. We found ways to incorporate their song (“You and Me” by Lifehouse), the first time Ryan told Amy he loved her (on a picnic in the park), their love for music, and their love for each other!

Ryan, we are so proud of you and will pray for you and Amy while you are gone. Thank you for serving this country and most importantly serving God!

Melissa & Justin's Engagement

Their story is a perfect example of how our God works! Justin lived in Arizona where he was offered a job that would be back in his hometown with his family. But he prayed and didn’t feel that God needed him there, so Justin turned it down. Two years later, he was offered a job but it would mean moving to Florida. Once again, Justin prayed and felt God leading him in that direction. So he went. Melissa worked at the same place and had seen Justin a few times but that was all. It wasn’t until Melissa’s brother-in-law asked Justin to come over to their house for Memorial Day that they actually met. They hit it off and after a day trip to Orlando, they were official. And on March 6th of this year, they were engaged. Thank goodness for men who follow God! In the words of Melissa, “Who would have thought God was leading him to me.”

They wanted to do their shoot behind Justin’s apartments because it’s there that they love to take walks and it’s there that Justin proposed. And we did. It was beautiful! Below are some of my favorites from their session!

Congrats to Melissa & Justin! We are looking forward to your wedding in August!

Riley Grace

Riley is my cousin’s little girl. While I was there for Riley’s Aunt Marianne’s wedding, I was able to catch a few photos of this sweet little girl before we had to leave. One thing about this little girl is that she is lovable. She was giggling, laughing, smiling every time I saw her.

I do have to tell you this one thing: My grandmother for whatever reason prefers Riley’s middle name, Grace, more than her first name. So my grandmother has called her Gracie since she was born if not before that. Now if you knew my grandmother, you would laugh and appreciate this story. My grandmother is certainly a character and we love her for that.

And as for the rest of Riley’s family, she is known as Riley.
