Katie & Aaron

As I mentioned in my first post... I LOVE engagement sessions! There's never any pressure and usually the couple is pretty relaxed. It just makes for such a fun session. This engagement is extra special because it was an actual proposal! So it was more like a surprise engagement session.

I have to say that I wasn't surprised when Katie & Aaron hit it off so well. They're one of those couples who just fit together so well. Aaron adores her and it's obvious to anyone who's around them. The way he looks at her and holds her hand is just so sweet and romantic. And Katie is head over heels for him. For as long as I have known Katie, I can honestly say I have never seen her happier since she starting dating Aaron.

I had mentioned to Katie a while back that if she and Aaron ever wanted pictures of the two of them to just let me know. Katie said she wanted to do photos for their one year anniversary (2/7) in Savannah, Georgia. So of course I was excited! Savannah is one of the most beautiful and romantic places I had ever seen! Katie and I began to joke around that maybe Aaron would propose for the photos! Then it occurred to me that he just might really do it. I finally got to talk to Aaron and ask him if he had a secret plan. And he did. He wanted to propose to Katie during the photo shoot! So we tried to come up with all sorts of ways to do it. He wanted to propose to her in the Owens-Thomas House. There is a beautiful garden behind that house that he wanted to do it at.

However, in order to get into the garden we had to go on their tour. Poor Aaron had to wait about a half an hour for a tour before he could finally propose! I was beginning to get nervous after ten minutes, so I can only imagine how he was feeling! Although he played it off very well, as Katie had no idea what he was up to. After the tour finally ended, we still had to wait a few minutes for everyone to clear out so he could have the garden to himself with Katie.

But he finally got to ask Katie if she would spend the rest of his life with him. And giddily and happily she said "Yes!."

Katie and Aaron we are so excited and proud of you two!
